Aaron Wagner

BIO

Aaron Wagner has been a native of Pittsburgh and graduated from Mars Area High School in 2012. He graduated 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Percussion from Slippery Rock University. While at SRU, he studied with Dr. David Glover in orchestral percussion and drum set being involved with as many ensembles as possible, including the SRU Marching Pride.

With a huge passion for the marching arts, Aaron also participated in WGI ensembles throughout his school career. He marched quads for Three Rivers Indoor Percussion (TRIP) 2013. Following that, he marched the independent world class ensemble Matrix for 3 years 2014, 2015, and 2017.

As a Matrix alum, Aaron also worked with Matrix Open front ensemble during the 2018 and 2019 seasons and winning a Gold and Silver Medals!

Aaron currently is an Assistant Director for the Mars Area High School Marching Band and Indoor Drumline. He also works with Moon Area Marching Band percussion as well. Aaron works his own private lesson studio and gigs locally as well. Currently he gigs quite frequently with Aris Paul Band which won a 2021 HMMA for best rock song.
